L'actualité de la semaine a été marquée par l'attaque de la coalition des forces nigérianes, camerounaises et tchadiennes contre plusieurs bases du groupe djihadiste État islamique en Afrique de l'Ouest (EIASO). Par ailleurs, près de la frontière avec le Mali, dix-huit civils du camp de réfugiés maliens d'Aousak ont été tués par des « bandits armés non encore identifiés ».
Dans le reste de l'actualité nigérienne, les Forces de défense et de sécurité (FDS) ont neutralisé des individus qui approvisionnaient les groupes armés terroristes à Diffa. De plus une radio a été mise en place pour sensibiliser la population.
Par ailleurs, le ministre de l'Intérieur et de la Décentralisation s'est rendu à Abala accompagné du Gouverneur de la région de Tillabéry pour rencontrer les chefs de tribus d'Abala dans le but de ramener la paix, la stabilité et la cohésion sociale dans la région.
Les avocats d'Abdoulaye Saidou, président du mouvement M62, ont tenu un point de presse au cours duquel ils ont annoncé leur volonté de porter l'affaire devant la CEDEAO. En effet, ce procès intervient après ses révélations concernant les événements de Tamou.
Enfin, nous pouvons noter la bonne récolte de cette année qui représente un des principaux facteurs de croissance, mais aussi de paix et de stabilité suite aux manifestations de fin 2022 concernant la hausse des prix.

Attaques contre des bases terroristes dans la forêt de Matari
Plusieurs bases du groupe djihadiste État islamique en Afrique de l'Ouest (ISWAP) ont été pilonnées en fin de semaine dernière dans la région du lac Tchad par des forces du Nigeria, du Niger, du Cameroun et du Tchad, avec l'appui d'un drone américain. L’objectif de cette opération spéciale était de neutraliser les bases de l'ISWAP installées dans la forêt de Matari (Nigeria) à partir desquelles « des attaques sont menées chaque année sur les villes nigériennes de Maïné Soroa, Chétinari et de Chétimari Wangou », indique la Force multinationale mixte (FMM) rassemblant les armées des quatre pays. À l'issue « d'une série de pilonnages précis », un campement terroriste et une base de vie ont été « détruits » et 36 « présumés terroristes » ont été « capturés », selon la FMM qui affirme qu' « une grande partie de ces criminels en fuite » a été interceptée. Aucune perte n'a été enregistrée dans les rangs des soldats.

Attacks on terrorist base in the Matari forest
Several bases of the jihadist group Islamic State in West Africa (ISWAP) were bombed late last week in the Lake Chad region by forces from Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon and Chad, with the support of an American drone. 18 civils tués dans une attaque terroriste
Le 1er février 2023, dans le département de Tilia, près de la frontière avec le Mali, dix-huit civils ont été tués et leurs animaux emportés dans une attaque perpétrée par des «bandits armés non encore identifiés ». À bord de leurs motos, ils s'en sont pris au campement de réfugiés d'Aousak maliens en territoire nigérien, massacrant la population avant d'emporter leurs bétails. Il y a deux ans, Tilia avait été lourdement endeuillé par une attaque terroriste ayant fait 137 morts. Située dans la zone des trois frontières, Tilia est devenue ces dernières années le théâtre d'opérations de groupes terroristes. Les forces armées nigériennes, avec l'aide des forces partenaires, multiplient les opérations contre les bandits armés dans la zone.

Niger: 18 civilians killed in terrorist attack

Diffa retrouve peu à peu la sérénité grâce aux FDS
À Diffa, les forces de défense et de sécurité (FDS), dans leur mission de sécurisation, s’emploient à neutraliser avec succès toute présence terroriste dans la région de Diffa. Ainsi, ils ont pu mettre la main sur des individus qui ravitaillent les groupes armés terroristes. Une radio de sensibilisation a été installée à Diffa en vue de sensibiliser et d’animer la population.

Visite de Hamadou Adamou Souley dans la région de Tillabéri
Le ministre de l'Intérieur et de la Décentralisation a effectué un déplacement à Abala le 4 février, accompagné par le Gouverneur de la région de Tillabéry. L'objectif de cette visite était de rencontrer certains chefs de tribus d'Abala afin de ramener la paix, la stabilité et la cohésion sociale. Étaient présents à cette réunion, le ministre de l'Intérieur, plusieurs chefs de tribu, autorités et leaders d'opinion. L'objectif de cette réunion était de rappeler aux uns et aux autres le respect des engagements pris lors d'un Forum sur le dialogue intercommunautaire organisé à Abala il y a deux mois. « Il faut que les chefs de tribu s’engagent davantage dans la lutte contre le terrorisme », a déclaré Hamadou Adamou Souley.

Hama Amadou visit the Tillbery region
The Ministry of the Interior and Decentralization made a visit to Abala (Tillabery region) on Saturday, February 4, 2023 and was accompanied by the Governor of the Tillabery region and several personalities. L’affaire Abdoulaye Saidou portée devant la CEDEAO
Dimanche 29 janvier 2023, les avocats de Abdoulaye Saidou, acteur de la société civile, président du mouvement M62, ont animé un point de presse au cours duquel ils ont annoncé leur volonté de porter l'affaire devant la CEDEAO. Le président du mouvement M62, a rappelé que « leur client était poursuivi pour production et diffusion de données de nature à troubler l’opinion publique et à porter atteinte à la dignité humaine et aussi pour avoir rendu public un communiqué au nom de son organisation ». Ce communiqué du mouvement M62 portait sur les évènements de Tamou (les frappes aériennes sur un dépôt d'armes de groupes terroristes non loin du site d'orpaillage de Tamou dans l'après-midi du 24 octobre 2022 ayant occasionné la mort de 11 personnes). Rappelons que l’acteur de la société civile a été mis sous mandat et incarcéré à la prison civile de Kollo pour incendie volontaire lors de ces évènements.

Le gouvernement met de l’ordre dans l’organisation du Hadj et de la Oumra

Ayant duré deux jours, les travaux du Forum National se sont déroulés au palais de congrès de Niamey. Ainsi au terme de leurs travaux, les participants ont formulé plusieurs recommandations, dont entre autres la nécessité de diversifier les transporteurs ; de favoriser le regroupement des pèlerins dans un rayon raisonnable proche du lieu du culte et accessible aux services d’encadrement.
