La communauté peule a été montrée du doigt, cependant aucune preuve n'a été donnée. Dans une note plus optimiste, l'armée a sauvé 14 victimes d'enlèvement à Kaduna en démantelant un repère de bandits. Dans un autre registre, dans l'État du Plateau, l'armée nigériane prévoit de déplacer un pont militaire vieux de 50 ans, connu sous le nom de "LLanga Langa". Cependant, la communauté s'y oppose et a exprimé son inquiétude. Le contexte politique continue de faire réagir le paysage politique nigérian. The news has newly been marked by violent events.. Suspected Boko Haram terrorists killed 29 fishermen in the Lake Chad region. À Kaduna, des bandits ont attaqué la maison d'un pasteur, tuant son fils et enlevant sa femme et trois autres personnes. Lors d'un autre incident, des hommes armés ont tué le pasteur Musa Hyok et ses deux fils dans la LGA de Riyom à Plateau, au Nigeria. L'ecclésiastique assassiné était un pasteur de la Church of Christ in the Nation (COCIN). Selon Song Moro, le chef de la jeunesse de la communauté, il s'agissait d'une attaque de représailles après l'assassinat de trois jeunes Peuls dans la communauté. Les bandits de Kaduna n'ont encore contacté personne pour demander une rançon. La police a ouvert une enquête sur les deux incidents.

Violent Attacks Targeting Religious Leaders and Families in Plateau and Kaduna States
In Kaduna, Nigeria, bandits attacked a pastor's house, killing his son and kidnapping his wife and three others. In another incident, gunmen killed Pastor Musa Hyok and his two sons in Mangu LGA, Plateau State. The murdered cleric was a priest of the Church of Christ in the Nation (COCIN). According to Song Moro, the Youth Leader of the community, it was a retaliatory attack after the killing of three Fulani youths in the community. The Kaduna bandits have not yet contacted anyone to demand ransom. The police have launched an investigation into both incidents.

Des tensions sont apparues entre l'armée nigériane et les habitants de la ville de Gindiri, Mangu LGA, dans l'État du Plateau, à propos du projet de démantèlement et de déplacement d'un pont militaire vieux de 50 ans, connu sous le nom de "LLanga Langa". Community rejects move by army to remove 50-year old bridge in Plateau
Tensions have risen between the Nigerian army and residents of Gindiri Town in Plateau state over the proposed dismantling and relocation of a 50-year-old military bridge known as "LLanga Langa". The bridge was constructed in 1973 to link communities in the area, including Tongzong and the Church of Christ in the Nations schools. The Nigerian Army plans to relocate the bridge to the Sambisa Forest in Borno State for operational reasons in the fight against Boko Haram, but the community is opposed, as it is the only link between the Tongzong community and the schools. Concerns have been raised that dismantling the bridge would pose transportation challenges for the residents, cutting them off from the rest of Nigeria. Les terroristes auraient enveloppé les victimes dans des filets de pêche avant de les torturer et de les tuer. L'attaque s'est produite dans la LGA de Gamboru-Ngala de l'État de Borno, ville frontalière entre le Nigeria et le Cameroun, sujette à des tensions entre communautés pastorales, de pêcheurs et d'agriculteurs. Terrorist kill 29 fishermen in Borno
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists killed 29 fishermen in Mukdolo village along Dikwa-Ngala Road in the Lake Chad region. The victims were fishing and wood-cutting when they were attacked by terrorists riding on motorcycles. Seven others were injured while attempting to escape. The bodies were recovered in a search and rescue operation by troops who were alerted by victims that fled the attack. The terrorists reportedly wrapped the victims in fishing nets before torturing and killing them. The attack occurred in Gamboru-Ngala LGA of Borno State, Nigeria-Cameroon border town that often faces oppositions between breeder, farmer and fisher communities. This incident is a grim reminder of the ongoing violence and insecurity in the Lake Chad region.

Military rescues 14 kidnap victims in Kaduna
Nigerian troops have cleared a bandits' hideout and rescued 14 kidnap victims after engaging them in Kaduna State. The encounter was carried out by the troops of Sector Four of "Operation Whirl Punch" and the Special Forces of the 167 Battalion of the Nigerian Army. The troops overpowered the criminals and neutralized one while others fled. The rescued victims comprising nine men and five women were moved to a safe location for debriefing and examination before reuniting them with their families. The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, was elated by the troops' success and commended their leadership.

The training will focus on civilian protection, civil-military cooperation, and international humanitarian law. The organization's Executive Director, Mr. Gad Peter, announced that the exercise is being supported by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) and International Alert. The project is currently being implemented in Plateau, Borno, and Zamfara states. The objective of the project is to promote human rights, inclusivity, and accountability in security sector governance. The training is aimed at ensuring an early response to the existing and emerging security challenges that Nigeria is currently facing.

A group rejects results of Nigeria’s presidential polls
The Coalition for Better and Greater Nigeria (CBBN) has rejected the result of the just-concluded presidential election that made Bola Tinubu the Nigerian President-elect. “Prophet” Isa El-buba, the Convener of the group, described the electoral process as fraudulent and shabby, and asked the national electoral commission to cancel the election and conduct a fresh one. The group claimed that the inability of INEC to transmit the election results electronically as promised had discredited the entire process.

Zimbabwean prophet Passion Java has issued a second prophecy about Nigerian politician Bola Tinubu, despite receiving threats after previously predicting the outcome of Nigeria's recent election. Java claimed he had received a vision that Tinubu, whose name begins with a "T", should be listened to and his opponents should work with him. He also claimed that the businessman would be inaugurated, but warned that his health might be challenged and he might not finish his term. Nigerians criticised Java's previous prophecy and he has been accused of making false claims in the past. His church has also been alleged to have ordered an abortion and to have spent half a million rands on a custom Gucci suit.
